From the moment you step foot into the elegant lobby, you'll be greeted by friendly staff who are dedicated to ensuring your every need is met as well as Leflavie family members ever ready to share their story over a glass of wine at the bar. The 17th century building was designed as a family house overlooking the village square. Exposed beams, dressed stone, and wooden floors remind us that Burgundy is above all a land of tradition and elegance. Here you will be able to enjoy the authenticity and charm of Puligny-Montrachet, a village nestled in the heart of the Côte de Beaune while still staying connected with complimentary Wi-Fi in both public areas and all rooms. Puligny-Montrachet

Strolling through the quaint French village of Puligny-Montrachet feels like stepping into another era, where time slows to the rhythm of church bells and distant conversation. Narrow cobblestone lanes wind past flower-filled window boxes, weathered stone cottages, and cafés spilling onto quiet squares. The scent of fresh bread drifts from the boulangerie as locals greet one another warmly, creating a sense of effortless charm and simple beauty. All this awaits you when you step out of our home for the week. Or walk a little further on and you will find yourself immersed in “the holy land of wine,” the vines of the Cote de Beaune. Grab an electric bike to follow the legendary “Voie des Vignes” or savor the surrounding hillsdies as you stroll at your own pace.  After a day soaking in the terroir, relax at the wine bar where your bartender will share tips and family anecdotes while they serve you one of Olivier Leflaive’s treasures or something from their curated spirits selection.

French Cuisine

Delight in the local Burgundian cuisine known for its reliance on local products, rootedness in tradition, and of course legendary wines.

At the first rays of sunshine creep across the village, the large interior terrace is the ideal place for guests to relax in absolute peace. The breakfast buffet offers a wide choice of local products and delicacies from the Chef, ready to satiate you before you set off to explore this beautiful Burgundy full of surprise and flavors. For dinner, we will explore restaurants throughout the region as well as the onsite Michelin recommended Klima.

Klima, from the Greek meaning “the inclination of the earth towards the pole”, is the perfect name for a declaration of the family’s love for their vines, the legendary terroir of Burgundy. Head Chef Kevin Bottemer reflects this passion in each dish as he combines locally curated ingredients with a passionate talent to create a taste of Burgundy in every bite. Our meals will be expertly paired with local wines to give you a full experience of the region. Lastly, for our final evening together, we will experience the Chef’s famous eight course tasting menu, “The Olivier Experience.”

"Wow, where do I start? From the moment I was picked up at the airport, I wasn't disappointed for a week. The venue and our hosts were top notch. The food, omg the food!  Every dish was just as delicious as the next.  I enjoyed seeing both wineries and our little city tours with our expert guide. Then there was meeting all the new people...

Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better it did."

Our Hosts

Wine runs in the veins of the Leflaive family, thanks to a heritage passed on like a precious treasure from generation to generation. Olivier represents the 18th generation of the family, and in 1984, he created an eponymous business for vinification and ageing wines in Puligny-Montrachet, in the very heart of Burgundy’s Côte d’Or. It was a high-risk gamble, but one that paid off, and over the next few years, he established a unique brand that has become a reference for the Côtes de Beaune. Later, he was joined by his brother Patrick and his daughter Julie.

With 100 hectares of vines, 26 of which are owned by the wine house, and 82 climats, including the celebrated grand crus of Bâtard-Montrachet, Chevalier-Montrachet, and Montrachet, the estate gives pride of place to these famous plots of Burgundy vines.

"I've been asked what my favorite thing was by friends and family, and I tell them EVERYTHING.  It was relaxing, gorgeous and the best group of people I could have asked for to spend a week with!

I loved the beautiful villa and warm staff, the amazing food, and the well thought out daily schedule board that wasn't "too full."
I loved the delicious wines that Kellie picked for our on-premise wine tastings and her teaching style.
I loved not having to make one decision for the entire week...
I loved the wonderful people in our group and the genuine new friendships I made.

So to wrap it up, my favorite part of the retreat was EVERYTHING."
