"Two Truths and a Wine" Answers Unveiled
1.) Lie: Larchago Tempranillo: Famous as the key grape in Rioja and one of Spain's crown jewel wines, Tempranillo can easily be confused with Cabernet Sauvignon. Both have thick skins, higher tannins, and a powerful body, and both can live for decades in your cellar. This beautiful example from Larchago shows classic notes of dried cherry, figs, and vanilla.
2.) Truth: Sean Minor Cabernet Sauvignon: While originally from Bordeaux, France, many top examples of this grape now also come from California like this powerful Cabernet Sauvignon from Paso Robles. Filled with aromas of black plums, black cherries, vanilla, and cocoa, this wine is a classic example of the grape.
3.) Truth: Predator Cabernet Sauvignon: Another fantastic example of the grape from California, this Cabernet has complex aromas of currant, coffee, and leather with supple tannins and a round mouthfeel. Pair this full bodied wine with a T-bone steak, beef bourguignon, or porcini mushroom risotto, and watch the magic that happens on your palate when you pair like a pro.
Cheers to drinking great wine!
